The  Modric cave is located just one hundred meters from the

sea. The cave was formed within Cretaceous limestones, and

is characterized by slightly inclined to horizontal chambers

and channels, which have a total length of 829 m.

 

The temperature in the cave is constant 16° C. In most parts

of the cave the width of the passages ranges from 2 to 8m

and in parts extends up to 14m.


Our speleo guide will lead us through secret labyrinths and

narrow passages to spectacular halls where strange host

await us: pipe organs, cuttlefishes, crabs, fairies...

The list of surprises nature and imagination can provide

under the light of carbide lamps is practically unlimited.

 

The cave is located in the Rovanjska village, 10 minutes from

Starigrad-Paklenica and half an hour from Zadar.
